Once after a right time, there was a guy who was very useful, kindhearted, and generous. He was a guy who will help someone without asking anything to pay him back again. He shall help someone because he wants to and he wants to.

One day while walking into a dusty road, a purse was seen by this man, so he picked it up and pointed out that the purse was empty. Suddenly a female with a policeman shows up and gets him arrested.

The female kept on requesting where do he cover her money but the man replied, "It was empty when I found it, Mam." The woman yelled at him, "Please give it back, It's for my son's institution fees." The person found that the girl thought miserable really, so he handed all his money.  He could say that the girl was an individual mother.  The man said, "Take these, sorry for the hassle." The girl remaining and policeman held he man for even more questioning.

The woman was happy but when she counted her money down the road, it was doubled, she was stunned.  One day while woman was going to pay her son's college fees towards the school, she noticed that some thin man was walking behind her.  She thought that he might rob her, so she approached a policeman standing nearby.  He was the same policeman, who she took along to check out her purse.  The girl advised him about the man pursuing her, but out of the blue they saw that man collapsing.  They ran at him, and saw that he was the same man whom they arrested few days back for stealing a purse.

He seemed very poor and female was mixed up.  The policeman said to the girl, "He didn't gain your money, you received by him his money that day.  He wasn't the thief but hearing about you son's school fees, he felt sad and gave you his money."  Later, they helped man operate, and man told the woman, "Please go ahead and pay your son's school fees, I saw you and followed that you make sure that no-one steals your son's school fees."   The woman was speechless.

Moral : Life gives you strange experiences, sometime it shocks you and sometimes it may surprise you. We end up making wrong judgments or mistakes in our anger, desperation and frustration. However, when you get a second chance, correct your mistakes and return the favor. Be Kind and Generous. Learn to Appreciate what you are given.

Complete surrender means complete happiness

Complete surrender means to recognize life as it comes, to trust god blindly.

Sometimes in life things aren't going the true way you required them to be. Things aren't in your control. Then surrender completely.

Some situations in our life are not so complicated but we make them by taking stress. While you complete surrender and ready to face your situations then you will realise life is much less tough as you think.

Whenever you are in difficult situation just relax and think now what you can do rather than shouting or taking stress. Stress is itself a hard situation and it doesn't makes you find any solution. We give much negative energy to our problems they become worse.

Positive thinking and notion in god help always. Always believe god is by your things and part are working out. He loves you shall never do bad for you. Stay calm you will feel divine force is helping you. The problem gets vanished. You will find a solution often . God's vitality is unlimited he is able to reach where no one can think off.

Complete surrender means complete happiness. No prospects, no be anxious, no hope in support of acceptance. When we completely surrender things start changing . You will come out as winner more stronger then before.

Tractor Beam has been a science fiction until certain time. It was the feeling that they are like a  hypothetical beam of energy which can be used to move objects or levitate.

But recent research has shown that sound waves can levitate ( suspend particles) object of different shape,size and material through water,air and tissue. This invention help us to manipulate cells, body fluids, liquids, compounds of different parts without touching or contaminating them. Accessing some of the parts by physical touch can lead to infections. By this invention, the former problems can be eliminated. However, Levitation using acoustic waves requires targets to be enclosed with acoustic elements. The acoustic structures shaped like tweezers,twisters or bottles emerge as the optimum mechanisms for tractor beams. This type of transportation is called container-less transportation. This helps in transporting target drug to the living tissues without disturbing any other tissues.


Levitation of particles of a wide range through air will happen when the radiation forces exerted by the acoustic waves form a acoustic trap and converge.

         An alternative has been found by the scientists, which has broken the way of developing new drugs by using a paradigm. To test a single compound, it takes years of research and huge amount has to be spent on it. In the course, lot number of animals live is lost.  The process may sometime fail to predict human response, as the response by the animals and the humans will not be same. All the above factors lead the Pharmaceutical industries to find an alternative. So, once again it is proved that

                          “Necessity is the mother of invention.”

      The Wyss institute team has found the new solution for this.  They combined micro fabrication with modern tissue engineering. Drug screening which follows vitro approach mimics the complicated mechanical and biochemical behaviors’ of human beings.  The micro architecture and functions of lung, heart, and intestine are recapitulated on microchips.


                   

          These microchips are called as “Organs-on-chips.”  One day these chips will become the best alternative for animals. This organ chip consists of clear flexible polymer and contains hollow micro fluid channels linked by living human cells. This organ chip size will be equivalent to computer memory chip.  As these micro chips are translucent, they may provide a window into the inner workings of human organ. These micro chips are connected to a automated instrument to mimic whole body-physiology.

         The name of the world lightest structural material known to science as of today is Metallic micro lattice. It is a synthetic porous metallic material. It consists of ultra-light metal foam.The credit goes to the scientists from California- based HRL laboratories. The prototype shown in the picture is made out of nickel-phosphorous alloy. It is one of the world changing innovations. The application of this metal will be widely in automobile and aerospace. It has the density as low as 0.9 Kilogram per meter-cube. The composition of metallic micro-lattice is of network of interconnecting hollow struts.

      It looks surprising to hear that, Now-a-days, the water bodies’ surface is covered with shade balls. Around 96 million shade balls are used to cover the drinking water bodies.

         Shade balls are nothing but plastic balls usually in black color. They protect the water from evaporation, wild life, dust, rain and chemical reactions. The main reason can be different. Around 1 billion liters of drinking water is being saved as the balls avoid water from evaporation. Another important benefit is that the balls avoid water from becoming cancerous agent. The water consists of bromine and chloride. These chemicals when react with sunlight can become bro-mate which is cancer causing agent.

How Blade less fan works?

      It seems surprising that do really Blade less fans exist ? If it exist, how do they work?

     First of all, Blade less fan consists of a impeller in the bottom casing which is seen in the picture above. This will suck the air from the surroundings and this get purified through a set of filters. The impeller is powered by a motor. The total casing which consists of fan and motor, filter is well sealed and insulated such that no sound comes out it, there by it become noise less and smooth operation.

     Then the air is passes through pipe of aerofoil shape. As the opening is less, the velocity of the air increases and when it completes it travel in the aerofoil opening , the air will gain much more velocity due tot he shape of the opening.

     Then the air is released to surroundings. At this time, the air with higher velocity moves out creating a suction on the other side. This again works like a vacuum pump. As the unit is not having any exposed moving parts, therefore it is safe even for children. It makes less noise when compared to fans in our home. The velocity and the amount of air it draws and supplies is very high.

OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS (OEE)



       One established industry or a factory measure of productivity is overall equipment effectiveness. OEE (OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS) in simple form is a measure of Productivity of an asset. If a machine has a planned production of 5 hours ,with the expectation that it can produce 5000 units during that time, but the machine only produces 2500 during the shift, that machine has an OEE of ( 2500/5000=.5).

The components of OEE (OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS):

         To answer this, we should understand the three components that makeup OEE.  These components are:

  1. Availability
  2. Performance
  3. Quality


Availability:
                 
                 It measures how frequently machine is available for its intended use. Events that stop machine production result in a downtime loss. Availability can be affected by equipment failure, unplanned maintenance and downtime, material shortages, and machine changeover time.

Performance:

                It is more difficult to assess, but is defined as a speed loss. If a machine is rated to produce a certain amount of units per hour, and runs uninterrupted for that hour, producing fewer units than the machine rating is called as performance loss. These losses can be a contribution of machine wear, operating person’s efficiency, bad materials.

Quality:

               It can be calculated very easily among three. It is a measure of amount of scrap a machine produces. Any reject material that doesn’t meet quality standards, and rework all contributes to quality losses.

Measuring OEE:

                  Availability is calculated as a ratio between actual operating time and planned production time

Availability = Operating time/Planned production time

Performance is the ratio of the ideal cycle time to the operating time divided by total pieces produced

Performance = Ideal cycle time/ (operating time/total pieces produced)

This can also be defined as a ratio of net operating time to operating time.

Quality is measured as the ratio of good pieces to total pieces

Quality= Good pieces/ total pieces.

OEE Example:

Through this example I want to explain the OEE calculation.
The plant shift is 8 hours, with two breaks 15 min tea break,30 minutes lunch. The machine can produce 60pieces per hour at its ideal cycle time. For suppose if the machine is down for 15 minutes, but produces 400 pieces during its uptime. Out of which 20 pieces are rejected and sent for reworking. Based  on this ..

8 hours                               480 minutes
Breaks                                45 minutes
Down time                          15 minutes
Parts produced                    400 pieces
Rejection                            100 pieces
Planned production time       480-45=435
Operating time                    435-15=420
Availability                          420/435=.96
Performance                        400/420=.95
Quality                                380/ 400=.95
OEE                                    .95*.95*.96=.86


The machine is having OEE  of 86%.

How To Calculate The Taper Angle & Taper Ratio


           
           A taper shaft is the one which have the incremental diameter for every unit of its length. For suppose if a taper ratio for a taper shaft is 1:8 , it means  that for every 8 units increment in length there is a one unit increase in diameter.




Q : Taper ratio is known, smaller diameter is known, length is known, then how to find the major diameter?

We need to follow the formula in order to find the major diameter:

     Taper ratio = Length of the shaft / (major diameter-minor diameter)

For suppose if the taper ratio is 1:8, then after substituting

     8/1 = 14.7/ ( D-8)

After calculating, the major diameter comes out as 9.83mm.

If the diameters, length is known, the by using the above formula taper ratio can be known.

How to calculate the taper angle?


         If taper angle to be known then we need to use some trigonometric equations. Taking the above said example,



         In the above case, if the taper angle to be known, then we need to use tan theta (as we know opposite and adjacent sides).

 By using tan theta, the angle theta can be known.
