Eat more fish:
It is the
omega 3 fatty acids in fish oils that are thought to make the Mediterranean
diet more healthy and protect against heart disease and raised cholesterol
levels. You should have 1.5g of these fatty acids a week-two or three servings
of fish.
Persons who suffer from Dry eyes, should
up their seafood intake. Salmon, sardines, and mackerel contain omega-3 fatty
acids, which the body uses to produce tears, among other things.
Research suggests that people who consume
higher amounts of these fats are less likely to have dry eyes.
Do not smoke:
Stop fuming.
Do not smoke and if you smoke already, do everything in your power to quit. Do
not buy into that my-granny-smoked-and-lived-to-be-90 crud not even the tobacco
giants believe it. Apart from the well-known risks of heart disease and cancer,
orthopedic surgeons have found that smoking accelerates bone density loss and
constricts blood flow. So you could live to be 90-year-old amputee who smells
of stale tobacco smoke.
Fruit cocktail:
It seems simple enough . Fruit is
healthy, so a fruit cocktail should be a good choice. But most of the fruit
cocktails are made up with a sugary syrup that does nothing but drive the
calories up without adding any nutritional value. You are better off eating a
piece or two fresh fruit instead.
Veggie Pizza :
We all know pizza is not the
healthiest food choice, but veggie pizza ?
It
has vegetables, so it must be healthy, right? Not so-fast. Some fast- food joints
load their veggie pizza with extra cheese to make up for the lack of meat of
use oil soaked dried tomatoes and olives for flavor. Then what about he best
diet? We should go thin crust veggie pizza with half the cheese.
