Osteoarthritis (OA):
It is a type of joint disease.
The reason for this disease is due to break down of joint cartilage and
underlying bone. The most common symptoms for this are joint pains.

to recover from this disease includes:
1. Be active or stay
active: We should keep out joints flexible. For this
exercise helps a lot. Through exercises, energy can be boosted, bones and
muscles strengthen.
2. Importance of
Balanced diet: C-Calcium.. This should be remembered. Foods
rich in calcium should be taken. Especially fruits and vegetables, omega-3
fatty acids, found in fish and oil, may help relieve pain.
3. Hold packs: To increase the blood flow, hot compresses
help. Increase in blood flow will ease pain and stiffness.
4. Cold packs: This help in reducing the swelling.
5. External support: Try some external supporting
aids like splints, braces and canes which can support painful joints & help
ease our discomfort, prevent injury.
6. Be positive: We should focus always on our
abilities and not on our disabilities.
