Many
of us think that supplements are the storage of vitamins which we can take in
the place of food, but in fact not. The vitamins & minerals that we get
from a cheap multivitamin tables is just a small part of total amount of
nutrients we get from real food.
For example nuts are not just
shells loaded with omega-6 fatty acids and in the same way fruits are not just
watery bag of fructose. These are the real foods with a massive variety of
trace nutrients. Supplements are really helpful in the case where there is real
lacking of nutrients in day to day food, for example like vitamin-D,Magnesium.
But not amount of supplements will make a truthful diet.
Until there is a clear
sufficiency,we should not recommend the supplements. There will be side
effects which will effect the digestive system, reproductive system. Using the
supplements with out doctor advise will lead to kidney & heart failures.
There is a theory of :”Nutrition-ism”, which says that foods are nothing but the
sum of their individual nutrients. This theory is wrong.
