The answer for this
question is “YES”. Even though, it hears strange it is true. But Beer cannot be
used directly as a fuel but its by-product can be used as fuel. The credit goes
to New Zealand. It starts fueling cars using the by-product of beer. The by-product is related to the yeast that
is left over from the brewing process.
The good thing with this is that,
this by-product when used in vehicles is producing 10% less carbon emissions
than regular fuels. As an initial trial 300000 liter is produced and sold. The
yeast slurry which otherwise is thrown out or fed to animals is recycled and
turned into ethanol that can be used with regular petroleum.
Generally, any fuel consists of 90%
petroleum & 10% ethanol. But this ethanol is produced from beer. That is
the greatness of this. Many of the persons feel that this is Eco friendly oil.
