AP Government Launches 15Mbps Broadband at Rs. 149, 100Mbps to Offices at Rs. 999


Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday propelled the main period of Fiber Grid venture to give broadband network at shabby rate. 

Andhra Pradesh government marked a MoU with Cisco on Thursday as a major aspect of the initiation of India's first statewide broadband task 'AP FiberNet' in Visakhapatnam. 

Naidu said that computerized change was the most transformative intends to touch off maintainable development and enhance society. His administration's point was to give Internet association with all family units in the state as a component of Digital India battle, he said. 

Under the task, Internet associations would be given at modest rate in regions of Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram by April. It will cover whatever remains of the state by end of July this year. 

Under the venture, 15Mbps broadband association will be given at Rs. 149 every month to families and 100Mbps association for workplaces at Rs. 999 every month. Electrical shafts will be utilized to lay overhead fiber net link rather than underground link to save money on the expense. 

Official executive of Cisco John T Chambers said Cisco will set up an Internet of Everything (IoE) Innovation Center in Visakhapatnam to cultivate local development and will empower accomplices and new companies to construct arrangements around IoE and participate in quick prototyping.
